Nature’s Treasure Chest: Herbs and Their Wonders
What Your Kid will Experience:
Learn about the herbs and it's value
Grind the herbs with mortar and pestel with the guidance of an instructor.
They will enjoy hands on experience in making a herbal concoction called kashayam or kada and will learn the term in multiple regional languages.
They will also get to taste the concoction.
Sweet Traditions: Learn to Make Festive Modaks
What Your Kid will Experience
Kids will learn and understand the interesting traditional stories associated with modak making.
Kids will make the modak and cook the same under the guidance of instructors.
They will take home an amazing experience learning about our culture and culinary delight along with a mould to make modaks at home.
All materials will be provided

Food Disclaimer
The food prepared and consumed at this activity may contain allergens including but not limited to: shredded coconut, ghee, rice flour, jaggery, cardamom, other Indian herbs like cinnamon, dried ginger, cumin, pepper, fennel seeds, snap ginger, ajwain (carom seeds).
Any participant with food allergies, intolerances or dietary restrictions is advised to review the food allergen and participate at their own risk. Consult with the organizer regarding specific ingredients used in the workshop if you have any questions.
Liability Waiver
By submitting this form, you acknowledge that you are taking part in this activity at your own risk and that you do not hold Global Organization for Divinity (GOD) and their members or volunteers responsible for any unfortunate events inside or outside the program venue, on the way, in the parking lot, etc.
Media Release
By participating in the Puranava - Indian Heritage Fest, you agree to let us use photographs of you and/or your work at the event for promotional purposes. Your participation also allows us to use your photos in our future print or online publications, social media posts, flyers or other promotional material and for historical documentation.
